For those who know me, I had a somewhat unusual 40th birthday. Kevin's aunt, Yvonne Heaton passed away. She is the mother of the bride for the wedding that we shot a few weeks ago. Also that day, we received news that my uncle, Jimmy Jones also passed away. While I was glad that both had been relieved of their pain, it was kind of overwhelming.
My response to this pain was to travel to California for a couple of jobs in the LA area. I then traveled to the first beach that I could find and stuck my toes in the sand. I then continued up the coast on the Pacific Coast Highway. Stopping to take pictures wherever I wanted to (that was reasonably safe of course!)
I am now in Sacramento at a conference, while Kevin and Emily travelled to Moccassin with Kevin's parents for Yvonne's funeral. I will go back to Los Banos to spend some time with my cousins before I have to return to Phoenix for more jobs..
